Bute Film Project

June 21st marked the first official day of shooting on an as yet untitled experimental film inspired by Bute’s long history and wild landscapes. Over the next twelve months I'll be exploring the island's abandoned cottages, chapel ruins, standing stones and ancient burial sites in all their rain-lashed, sun-soaked and frostbitten glory. The images will be combined with original music, field recordings and abstract sounds to highlight the island’s diverse terrain with its ever-changing moods and hidden treasures. I have to say a huge thank to Ràmh Island Artists Support and also to Culture, Heritage & Arts Assembly, Argyll and Isles (CHARTS) for their support in bringing this project to life.
